The Barrette Family

When Allie contacted me and we started talking about her family photo’s I got very excited.  Allie and her husband were married last year, and they are nearing their 1 year anniversary so not only did I get to take photo’s of the whole family with her 2 very handsome boys, but also some sweet couples photo’s of just the 2 of them.  And honestly, these two could win the award for Most Beautiful Couple.  Just LOOK at them!

We went to one of my favorite locations in Old Town Gilbert and walked around for a while, taking a few photo’s here and there.  I really had a great time with them, they are a great little family and I feel so honored to have been able to spend time with them and capture some of these moments for them.  Thank you again Allie!

Baby H~ 10 Months Old!

A little over a week ago, I met up with Baby H’s Mom at the nearby Riparian Preserve so we could do his 10 month session.  We had perfect light, and Baby H was in a pretty good mood so we were able to really get some yummy shots.  He is at that age where everything is interesting and he wants to just move and look at everything he see’s, so he really kept us on our toes.  But it was so much fun and so totally worth it.  Honestly, some of these are some of my favorite images I have shot in a long time.

Thank you so much to Baby H’s Mom for letting me share this time with you and your sweet baby!

Melissa~ Maternity Photos

We met in Heritage Square.  I had never been there, but now I plan to go back.  So many interesting little places to see while walking around.  The light was delicious.  A buttery gold, just right for photo’s.  And although it was a little warm outside, it cooled off quickly enough and we had a good time.  Melissa is due any day now, and I can’t wait to meet her sweet babe.

Here is a quick peek at some of our photo’s from the afternoon, thank you SO much Melissa for a lovely time and for letting me spend that time with you and your family.

LoziLu Phoenix

A few weeks ago I had the really cool opportunity to be one of several photographers at the LoziLu Phoenix Women’s Mud Run.  What a COOL event!  There were about 1300 women who ran through various muddy obstacles in the desert that day.  Mud pits, and slides, and hills, and big walls.  Every person I saw looked like they were having a blast.  I know that I did.

LoziLu helps to support Leukemia and Lymphoma research to help find a cure for blood cancers.  Please, check out their website to learn more about what they do, and the awesome events they put on.  Thank you to Francis for contacting me and asking me to participate in this.  I loved every single minute of it.

If you are on the LoziLu facebook page you may have already seen these photo’s but I wanted to share them here for anyone who may not have seen them yet.  These are just a few of my favorites from the day.

We will miss you Axel…

A few weeks ago our sweet old dog Axel passed away.  It has been sad around here without him, even our other dog Rosie has been missing him.  She has a toy that she has refused to part with since he left us…  But we know that we made the best decision for him so that he would not be in any pain.  He lived a long life, he was 13 years old, and we know he had a good one.  So, even though we are sad we know he’s not suffering and we can remember him being the happy dog he always was.

The boys and I were lucky enough to be able to take him to the park on his last day and take a few special photo’s to remember him by.  I am going to print and frame some of them and display them next to his paw print that the vet made for us.  My oldest son, Kayden, took the photo’s of me:)

We love you Axel, we will miss you.  You were part of our life for so long, it has been hard not seeing your happy face, or snuggling with you on the couch every day.  I hope one day to see you again.  <3
